A Student of architecture

The Architecture of Adaptation.

My journey to Architecture developed through observation, often informal experiences, and self-determination.

I am a lifelong learner through practice. Growing up in Salt Lake City, Utah on the edge of an ancient ocean floor, I observed the geologic timescales' impact on ecology and evolution in my backyard. As a young adult, I voraciously studied the biological sciences and natural word. My awareness grew to encompass the impacts of climate change.

The connection between ecological health and community health is irrefutable. Architecture is the modality to make a positive impact for our future.

Design as a catalyst for environmental resilience.

Climate Advocacy

We integrate rigorous environmental analysis into every phase of the design process. Our work addresses systemic climate risks by prioritizing structural durability and thermodynamic efficiency to ensure long-term architectural stability.

Field Responsiveness

Field conditions act as the primary generative logic for our practice. By analyzing soil integrity, topography, and local ecology, we create spatial interventions that feel native to their site while actively responding to geological pressures.

Hydrological Stewardship

Water is treated as an architectural asset rather than a utility. We implement sustainable management strategies, including closed-loop loops and permeable drainage systems, to restore a healthy hydrological balance within the site context.

Design in Practice

Rooted in Critical Regionalism and the ethos of my predecessors, Francesco Borromini, Naum Gabo, Luis Barragán, Alvar Aalto, and Ian McHarg, my practice explores the dynamic tension between built form and field conditions. I believe architecture is responsive and integral to the environment; meticulously crafted as an expression of community values.
